2022 Winmark Single Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay, Hunter Valley, NSW

Pale gold. Aromas of brioche, toasty oak, grilled stone fruit, melon, fig and barbecued citrus, with hints of white flowers and apricot. The palate is full and fleshy with white stone fruit, nashi pear, ruby grapefruit and baking spices. Fine acid backbone with a savoury, tight texture and a salty core. Finishes long with persistent cashew and toast. Scored 95 points (Halliday Wine Companion), 94 points (Winepilot) and 92 points (The Wine Front).
