Medium deep, bright crimson. The nose is fragrant and refined — damson plum, blackcurrant and cassis with cedar, violets and a faint trace of ironstone. Mulberry, green peppercorn and a subtle note of sumac spice add complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with elegantly structured, fine-grained and suave tannins. Damson plum, mulberry and dried herb fill the mid-palate alongside bright acidity, while the leafy, resinous quality of the Cabernet adds detail and longevity. The finish is long, persistent and well-balanced. Drink from 2024 or cellar to 2032 and beyond.
